Nancy Chen

Nancy Chen is an artist living in Edmonton, AB. Much of her inspiration comes from her everyday environments and the objects she interacts with; her garden, her desk, her animal reference books and encyclopedias. Nancy seeks to depict and understand what's familiar to her.

 

Throughout her years of making art, she has worked with acrylic paint, watercolour paint, inks, graphite, pencil crayons, markers and mixed media collage. She enjoys drawing and painting with acrylic the most! She is drawn to immediacy, saturated colours and bold brushstrokes.
